Apple has detailed Audio Intelligence controls for Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4. 9to5Mac covered the announcement on September 9, 2026; Apple's support page was published September 10.

Activation is a deliberate choice

Apple describes the features as opt-in. Live Rewind uses a double-press of the Digital Crown to show a short text snippet, with audible and visible signals. Siri Recap can be controlled manually or through schedules.

Availability and accuracy have limits

Apple says Live Rewind and Siri Recap will arrive in beta later this year, initially in English. They require Siri AI, whose initial beta will not be available in the EU on iOS, iPadOS or watchOS. Check Apple's device requirements rather than assuming every Watch and iPhone combination qualifies.

Apple also warns that generated snippets and summaries may be inaccurate or incomplete. TechKili's assessment: treat the output as a memory aid and confirm important details with the people involved. The announcement does not establish independent testing of the privacy design or summary accuracy.
